Well two days ago someone called me on a whim and imformed me that they got tickets to that KROQ Weenie Roast thing and that I was going with them. All good and dandy, so I agreed. So it went well, despite the fact that I was called a 'queer' within 20 minutes of entering the Amphitheatre. WEll anyways, First we headed to the side stage, where the lineup consisted of Story of the Year (never heard them until yesterday... typical scream'o band or somethin'), Yellowcard ::shudders::, New Found Glory ::shudders twice::, and Hoobastank ::shudders thrice::. So we stayed for Story of the Year, which wasn't completely horrible because there was a pit consisting of a bunch of really big shirtless people, whom I was frequently slammed into. Anyway, after a fairly accurate cover of 'Enter Sandman', we left to get vairious expensive foods. And speaking of food, the whole day I never even had a hotdog; It's called a Weenie Roast and I couldn't find any hotdogs! wtf! But before I go of on a tyrade... I'l get back on topic. Well so as I was saying, we got food, then hung out under some tent until 5, when the first act started on the main stage. The first band was The Killers, who have a very cool industrial sound, semi Orgy-like but much faster, like The Vines or The Strokes or something equally retro. Buuut they had two issues. First off they weren't very charismatic, and had trouble catching the crowd's attention; Secondly, all their songs started sounding the same! Well anyway after them was the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who were good, except for the fact that Karen O had some ridiculous outfit on that made her look like a circus performer. Next on the list was uhh... Modest Mouse. They were very good, but I can see why their music can be unattractive to some crowds. Next was... ::sigh:: Cyrpess Hill. Not only were they my most hated genre of music, but they weren't even very funny, or entertaining to watch on-stage. That, and the fact that the whole stadium, INSTANTLY reeked of pot, the smoke is still trapped behind my eyeballs. So after 45 minutes of that, The Hives came on-stage. Now... not only were they extremely cool looking (style wise), but their music was actually really good live (I had heard them before but they didn't really make that much of an impression), and their lead singer was SOOOOooo fucking cool. He had soo much stage talent, it was sickening. So after them was Velvet Revolver... Ooooh and such. But no, they weren't that great. Scott Weiland is infinately cool, but for some reason the collaberation between him and Guns 'N Roses doesn't work out that well. Lots of their songs started sounding the same, and Slash's solo-whoring attitude was less than cool. Not only that, but they covered a Guns 'N Roses song, which seemed distasteful to me, since they play them-selves off as a completely new band. After that though, they played a really good STP song, and even though that seemed equally lame, it was very good to hear, since the Stone Temple Pilots rock. Not that VR was a complete dissapointment, but they didn't live up to all the hype. So then comes Bad Religion. I love them, so of course I could write a whole essay glorifying them, but I dont want to do that, so I'll just keep this short. First, Jay, the bassist, wore a red dress. That was cool. Secondly, they only played 2 songs off their new album, most everything was the good fast old Bad Religion I know and love... even though one of their new songs was actually really good. So after that was. oh fuck im giong to have to stop typing, I'll finish this /spell check later.

Yes I was so bored I wrote a poem about it. GOT SHIT???

Last night I had a much enjoyable(french pronounciation) time with John and Evan (very cool person I met at driving school, believe it or not) and his friend JD. We laughed, we cried, we got kicked out of Toys R Us. Much Lightsaber battling happened there. Then we went to tower and uhh... well we looked at CDs. On the way out we encountered Adli, who I never thought I'd see again, he looks much differen't now though, kinda long wavy hair pulled back and much slimmer than before. So after being called a fag we went to jamba juice and enjoyed some of earth's more nurishing refreshments, then sat around the movie theatre so Evan could be hit on by some poser (a term I use rarely, but this was the real deal) girl, which was quite entertaining, and so I encouraged it. Anyway after that we were tired and beat but fuck, we walked back to John's anyway, making a stop at Jack In The Box along the way and somehow shutting off the power to this little pathway by kicking a big metal box. Quite enterataining. Then I showed off my driziving skillz and uh... drove Evan and JD home, with my mom in the car cause I'm cool and lack an actual liscence. Rock on. The end.

ok so here's the deal. I'm going to be in Virginia for a funeral (yeah yeah you're sorry, I'm over it) from Saturday - Wednesday, so I'll be gone till then. I may or may not be posting during this time, because I'm not quite sure whether or not I'll have internet acess, but I can almost surely say that I will not be on AIM or anything like that very often at all. Well anyway, that's about it. So eh... bye.

i haven't updated in a bit for two reasons, 1 is no one reads this anyway, and 2 is the fact that well, nothing has happened. I went to South Coast with Kyle today though, that was interesting, we ran into none other than *drumroll* Jeffree Star. Other than that the day has been fairly uneventful. Anyway, I'm seeing Kill Bill tomorrow of course... and uhh... yeah. I feel like a stupid pity whore saying this, but it's really the ONLY other thing going on right now, and thats my soon to be dead Grandma. The story behind her is, well, she's soon to be dead. My parents, as usual, have horrible ways of telling me this kind of thing, and here's how it went this time, although I am glad that they're as blunt as they are.
Phone: *RING!* Me: *ANSWER!* Mom on Phone: Sean, I just wanted to let you know that your dad just left to Virginia Me: ... why?? Mom: Your Grandma is going to die in two days, come home before 1 AM, we have some food left that you can microwave if you're hungry, don't make noise when you come in the house. *click*
Hah, my Mom's a funny woman.

| day 1 of spring break |
[09 Apr 2004|11:56pm] |

Verrry good way to start my break. First I had lunch with Aly and Kyle at Daphnies, fine Greek dining if I do say so myself. Anyway sometime after I got home, John showed up with Nate and we went down to Cypress to grab John's friend Brian, while there we hung out with these two other dudes and went to Del Taco, and on the car ride home I got to watch Charles (the driver) toke up. Anyway, after that we went to Chain Reaction and saw Tranistor Radio (blah), then Throw Rag (FUCKIN AWSOME) and of course, the Mad Caddies, one of the best Ska bands out there btw. Anyway back to Throw Rag. My God they rock. Picture this. Western style Sailor Punk Rock. Impossible to explain, but they're awsome. And the lead singer(s) are more charismatic than any punker out there (besides Jello). I moshed so hard when they were playing I could wring sweat out of my t-shirt at the end, and I have a bruise on my chest (elbow) and I feel great. Anyway, I'm soo beat, I'm going to sleep well tonight.

Soooo I was just told to leave my French class about 5 minutes ago, I'll never understand what that dumb teacher expected my reaction to be to her witty "if you're just going to sit and warm the seat, you may as well leave." Evidently people don't value warm seats anymore in this day and age. So I leave, and now I sit in the Library. God, I'm bored. So I was listening to the radio this morning in the car, and some woman killed her kids with rocks (ok one's not COMPLETELY dead, but whatever) and her reason was: God told me to. Man she's dumb, sadly she was tried insane, so it gives me no reason to be pissed at her for being a dumb bitch, she's just an insane bitch. But YEAAAH... boring day here... its only 8:14 now, class is out at about 9:30, and I need to make this time pass somehow. It appears that students are gathering around me, I must be attractive. Ohh I kid myself.
... ... ...
-sigh- I'M SO GODDAMN BORED. I'm gonna go find coffee.
[EDIT]
well I'm dumb! Obviously if everyone's in class, they aren't going to be selling coffee. -le sigh- I think I have a cold. Oh well I'm over it. What I'm not over is the fact that my body has decided to give me random nosebleeds, litterally, once a day for the past week or so at completely random times. I can be sitting there in bed reading, and BAM! blood! Although it doesn't come out at that exciting of a speed. YAY! My friends are here to save me! w00t for Nick and Puma.

Avenged Sevenfold - Second Heartbeat |

Darling I saw your face this morning, I saw your soft lips, as mine cracked like windows kicked in and leaked a salty red. I saw your radiant eyes, as mine bleached grey with decaying fashion. I saw your silk skin, mine took on the nature of scabs and dropped away like the ashes falling from my mouth. And so then I watched you take flight, and I stepped and tumbled down a hill of dry thorns, they tore me to shreds until I was nothing. Darling narcissism, I'm a fragile slave to you until my destruction.

"Why is it that people feel the need to yammer on about bullshit in order to feel comfortable? That's how you know when you've found someone special, when you can just sit and shut the fuck up for a moment." - A Pulp Fiction quote typed out to the best of my memorizational abilities.

I woke up at around 2 today and wasn't ready to leave the house until 4:30. Then I drove to Costco and back, and my mom yelled at me for passing someone. In other words, I've done nothing all day.
